Library Reading Rules<\/p><p>(I) All faculty, staff, and students of this university may enter the library to read.<\/p><p>(II) Reading hours are as follows: (Other times apply to holidays, winter and summer vacations)<\/p><p>Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Subject to change; please refer to the announcement for any changes)<\/p><p>(III) Please do not bring bags or backpacks into the library.<\/p><p>(IV) After reading books, periodicals, or newspapers, please leave them in their original place and do not take them out without permission.<\/p><p>(V) Please maintain silence and cleanliness while reading. Do not litter, and smoking or eating is prohibited in the library.<\/p><p>(VI) Please do not cut, soil, or damage books, periodicals, or newspapers.<\/p><p>(VII) These rules will be implemented after being approved by the administrative meeting, and the same applies to any amendments.<\/p><p>II. Library Book and Audiovisual Material Borrowing Rules<\/p><p>(I) The library&#8217;s book and audiovisual material services are limited to faculty, staff, and students of this university.<\/p><p>(II) Faculty and staff may borrow audiovisual materials for reference; students may only use them within the library.<\/p><p>(III) The borrowing hours for books and audiovisual materials are as follows, except for public holidays and winter\/summer vacations:<\/p><p>Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:20 PM<\/p><p>(IV) Please select materials from the shelves yourself; students should present their student ID at the reference service desk to complete the borrowing procedure; faculty and staff should follow the regulations.<\/p><p>(V) The number and duration of books and audiovisual materials that can be borrowed are as follows:<\/p><p>1. Faculty and Staff: A total of ten books and audiovisual materials can be borrowed for a period of four weeks;<\/p><p>However, this does not apply to official business or teaching\/research needs.<\/p><p>2. Students: A total of four books can be borrowed for a period of two weeks.<\/p><p>(VI) Upon expiration of the borrowing period, a renewal may be processed once at the library unless another person makes a reservation. However, if a reservation is made during the renewal period, the book must be returned immediately upon notification from the library.<\/p><p>(VII) For each day a student&#8217;s borrowed book is overdue, they will be required to serve half an hour as a library volunteer, and so on.<\/p><p>(VIII) In the event of loss or damage to books or audiovisual materials, the borrower must compensate according to regulations. (See Compensation Regulations)<\/p><p>(IX) Valuable books, reference books, periodicals, newspapers, and multimedia materials are for library use only and cannot be borrowed.<\/p><p>(X) If a book or material has already been checked out, a reservation can be made at the service desk or online.<\/p><p>(XI) The library reserves the right to reclaim borrowed books and materials at any time for inventory, organization, adaptation, or binding.<\/p><p>(XII) All borrowed books and audiovisual materials, regardless of their due date, must be returned before the end of the semester.<\/p><p>(XIII) Faculty and staff leaving the school or students leaving the school must return all books and audiovisual materials before leaving.<\/p><p>(XIV) Magazines, except for the current issue, may be borrowed during the last period of the day and returned after the first period of the following day.<\/p><p>(XV) This rule will be promulgated and implemented after being approved by the administrative meeting, and the same applies to amendments.<\/p><p>III. Compensation Regulations for Lost Library Books<\/p><p>Article 1: If a borrowed book is lost or damaged, the borrower must return the original book.<\/p><p>Article 2: If the original book cannot be purchased, compensation will be handled according to the following circumstances:<\/p><p>(I) For Chinese books under 100 pages, compensation is NT$300; \u200b\u200bfor books over 100 pages, compensation is NT$3 per page.<\/p><p>(II) For Western books under 100 pages, compensation is NT$1,000; for books over 100 pages, compensation is NT$10 per page.<\/p><p>(III) Special editions and art albums, due to special printing requirements, are not subject to the above pricing standards and require special approval.<\/p><p>(IV) For books whose physical copies cannot be found, or whose face value is lower than the original purchase price, the price will be three times the original purchase price stated on the cover.<\/p><p>(V) If a lost book is a single volume in a set or series, and the book cannot be purchased individually, compensation will be based on the total price of the entire set or series.<\/p><p>(VI) This regulation will be promulgated and implemented after being approved by the Administrative Meeting, and the same applies to any amendments.<\/p><p>IV. Guidelines for Using Computers in the Library Search Area<\/p><p>(I) Purpose: These guidelines are established to fully utilize resources and maintain the library&#8217;s equipment.<\/p><p>(II) Opening Hours of the Search Area:<\/p><p>Monday to Friday, 08:00~17:20<\/p><p>(III) Scope of Use: Use is limited to CDs or media materials in the library&#8217;s collection. Use of personal media materials or for other purposes is prohibited. Violators will have their usage rights suspended for 3 months.<\/p><p>(IV) Instructions for Use:<\/p><p>1. Please first use the library&#8217;s collection to search or directly check the CD\/DVD materials you wish to use at the data cabinet.<\/p><p>2. Proceed to the service counter to complete the borrowing procedure. Students will receive a numbered ticket for the machine upon presentation of their student ID.<\/p><p>3. Take your assigned seat according to your number and turn on the machine. Do not change seats. Each use is limited to one document at a time.<\/p><p>4. After use, please remove the document according to the instructions, shut down the machine normally, return the document to the librarian, and retrieve your ID.<\/p><p>(V) Bringing beverages or food is strictly prohibited. Please keep the area clean.<\/p><p>(VI) If you encounter any problems using the computer equipment, please notify the librarian immediately.<\/p><p>(VII) If materials or machines are damaged due to improper operation, the library will be suspended for two months, and the user will be liable for compensation.<\/p><p>(VIII) Please take good care of all equipment and operate it according to instructions. If there is any malfunction, please report it to the librarian or a student service representative.<\/p><p>(IX) This guideline will be implemented after being approved by the administration meeting, and any amendments will follow the same procedure.<\/p><p>V. Library Opening Hours<\/p><p>(I) Closing Days:<\/p><p>The library is closed on holidays announced by the university.<\/p><p>(II) Reading Room Opening Hours:<\/p><p>Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM Note: Holidays and winter\/summer vacations will be subject to separate regulations.<\/p><p>(III) Borrowing and Returning Hours:<\/p><p>Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:20 PM<\/p><p>VI.
