ELEVATOR USE MANAGEMENT POINTS

Key Points For Elevator Use And Management At Taipei Jingwen Private Senior High School

I. Purpose: To encourage students to use the stairs more often, promote physical activity, and effectively manage elevators to achieve energy conservation, these management guidelines are hereby established.

II. Elevator Usage:

(a) Xinshi Building and Qianjing Building: Elevators are equipped with card readers. A card must be presented for verification before pressing the up and down buttons.

(b) Innovation Building: Each elevator is equipped with a card reader. Direct access from floors 1 to 6 is possible without a card. If the elevator stops midway, a card is required to press the up and down buttons.

III. Elevator Users and Principles:

(a) Faculty and Staff: The elevator’s sensor function is set to identification on their identification cards.

(b) Students with physical disabilities or serious illnesses: Applicants should apply to the General Affairs Office at the beginning of the semester. After review by the Student Affairs Office’s Health Center, the General Affairs Office will issue a sensor card, which must be returned to the General Affairs Office upon graduation or leaving the university.

(III) Students who are injured, have difficulty moving, or are unwell: They may apply to the General Affairs Office. After review by the Student Affairs Office’s Health Center, the General Affairs Office will issue a temporary access card. The card must be returned to the General Affairs Office after use.

(IV) When visitors or guests need to be carried, staff will guide them using identification badges. If there is still a temporary need, they can apply to the General Affairs Office. The card must be returned to the General Affairs Office after use.

(V) For other major school events, the General Affairs Office is responsible for deactivating the access control system.

IV. Students applying for access cards must pay a deposit of NT$300. The deposit will be refunded upon return of the card. Lost cards or overdue cards will result in forfeiture of the deposit and one warning. Each student can only receive one replacement card.

V. These guidelines have been approved by the Administrative Meeting and then approved by Principal Chen before being promulgated and implemented. Amendments will follow the same procedure.
