Although the Jingwen Library is small, tables and chairs are placed outside to extend library services, allowing students to read in the corridor under the summer afternoon sun.

The Tzu Chi Foundation’s Jing Si team has established a “Jing Si Reading Corner” in a school, with Jingwen High School being the 45th and the first in Taipei City, making it a significant milestone. The school also plans to offer humanities-related courses in the future to further cultivate a strong reading atmosphere on campus. The wooden-toned space, filled with the aroma of books, immediately calms students’ minds upon entering. Jingwen High School is the 45th Jing Si Reading Corner established by the Jing Si team in various schools, and the first in Taipei City. The Jing Si team has established branches throughout Taiwan, regardless of whether it’s in rural or urban areas. The center is furnished with tables and chairs incorporating Buddhist wisdom, and 500 good books are provided, hoping to deeply instill the power of kindness in the hearts of children.
